Marx Universal Freight Train Station Toy

The Marx Universal Freight Station Toy was manufactured by Louis Marx & Co. of New York in the 1930s.  The plain original box gave little hint of the very colorful toy inside. Made of red, yellow and black lithographed tin, the freight station terminal also featured some passenger amenities, including well-marked Baggage Room and Ticket Office, as well as a moveable crossing arm to keep travelers and pedestrians out of harm’s way.
