Made in Denmark by L.M. Kiaer, Anchor Blocks No. 8 Construction Set Toy came in a 9″ x 13″ wooden box with a colorful illustration on its sliding top lid. The construction set weighed more than 10 pounds and included about 80 earthenware blocks in assorted shapes and colors, as well as instructions for creating several different structures. The beautiful cover lithograph of a multi-generational family happily building together demonstrates that the toy was truly “Of absorbing interest to adults as well as children.” Image is 1645px wide.
